Hello all, and thanks for the tips and suggestions I recieved.
What happened since last time;
Brought back the 150 and 160 main-jets to the dealer and got 130, 132.5 and 135 instead. I aalso kept the 140. My original main-jet was 125.
Checked the pilot-jet and it was 47.5. Bought 50, 52.5 and 55 pilot-jets.
Bought a K&N filter and clamped it right on the intake of the carb. No L-shaped tube or anything. The fit was tight, but it worked.
Lowered the needle one step(earlier I had raised it to the highest of 3 positions) and put in the 132.5 main-jet and the 52.5 pilot-jet. Lost power in the low and middle range, and wasnŽt really happy with the top speed either. I could almost hear the carb sucking in air through the K&N when I gave full throttle, but there was no real response from the motor. It came quite good in the top-middle to high-end of rpm though. But still, I was not happy. I really wanted that low rpm torque. So yesterday (friday) i decided to make another notch in the needle so I could raise it even more than before. I did this and I also put in the 135 main-jet and the 55 pilot-jet. I took my bike for a very short test-ride, just to see what the acc was now. I got the low-rpm torque back, at least it felt so. But I have to go for a longer ride to confirm this and also to test the top-speed.

This is the story of my tuning so far. More will come when I've been riding with the present setup for a while. Maybe IŽll remove the muffler from my Raask-pipe, just to see how it performs without it. For now I have cut off one of the three baffles on the muffler, so mine has just two. I find the sound a little better this way.

And Bryan, of course I should read some books on carbs, but trial-and-error is also fun, plus all the tips from you really makes such books more and more un-needed ;)

- Happy thumpin' -
